Let’s talk CONTENT PILLARS!

When it comes to creating content for your business, there are four pillars to keep in mind. If you are creating content that isn’t serving a purpose that aligns with any of these pillars, it is time to rethink if you are really providing VALUE for your audience.

Let’s break them down:

EDUCATIONAL (content) — content that is teaching your audience something or providing them with valuable information. This can include a tutorial using your products or a helpful tip for using your business tools.

INSPIRATIONAL (content) - content that inspires your audience (ironic right). This is the time to get personal with your audience and connect with them on a personal level. People love to see who is behind the brands they admire, as it helps to build TRUST with them. Share your story or what motivates you to do what you do!

CONVERTIBLE (content) - content that will help convert engagement into sales! This differs from educational content, as it is directly related to your product or services, rather than your niche or industry. Here you can share current sales, promos, or FAQ’s to show your audience why they need your service in their life.

ENTERTAINING (content) - content that allows you to connect on a more relatable spectrum to your audience! This is a great time to put your spin on a trending video that has been all over your feed lately or create a #relatable post.

I hope this helps you (re)evaluate the content you are creating to ensure you are creating valuable material for your audience to consume! Remember, when it comes to creating content generally it is quality > quantity. It can be easy to get caught in a loop of creating content just to get a post up, but I encourage you to pause and reflect before you hit post.
